Welcome to Thevelakara,which was derived from " DEVA LOKA KARA"
excatly the place of gods,a beautifull calm and quiet village ,where all the three major religious people live with harmony and peace.
A very ancient village which is blessed with the presence of saint "MAR ABO" who was the guru of "Kadamattahu Kathanaar" who came here from persia on AD 800's and his remains are resting in peace in Marthamariyam Orthodox Chirch,Thevelakara
Also famous for home place of Vaidyan family's who recived this surname from the king of travancore for healing queens eye disease
Ashtamudi lake is one border of this village and Arabian Sea is other and Kerala's only Sasthamcottah lake is just 5 Kms Far from here
Once this village was having the maximum number of govt employees than any other villages in kerala
