Our client has built an enviable track record over 10 years for designing, building and implementing business-critical systems based on Microsoft technology. In that time they've seen many technologies come and go but continue to lead with their adoption of new technology platforms as they emerge. When clients want to take advantage of a new Microsoft technology or upgrade to a newer version then they look to this company to advise them and help them migrate.
So, are you a hot .NET developer looking to fast-track your career? If you've got over 5 years' experience and are already leading teams, or are ready to make the step up to team leader, then we'll develop you into a fully-fledged .NET consultant, capable of designing and architecting key business systems for diverse clients.
You'll work with clients at all stages of the project and will lead small teams of developers delivering critical business solutions for them. We need special people to join the teams.
One thing we can guarantee is that you will get to work with multiple technologies and platforms. In fact it's an essential part of the role that you should be adaptable and quick to learn. You will also work with other smart people who will ensure that you grow your skills quickly and that you learn about all aspects of the project lifecycle.
The company's chosen development environment is .NET so the majority of your work will be in C# and ASP.NET, with occasional work in VB.NET. You can also expect to work with some or all of these platforms - SQL Server, SharePoint, Content Management Server, BizTalk, Commerce Server etc.
Within the role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality .NET code, using corporate standards, to time and > budget.
- Design system architectures for high-performance .NET solutions.
- Attend events at Microsoft to learn about new technologies.
- Get certified! If you're not already at least an MCAD then you'll have to get certified within 6 months of joining the company. They'll support you through this process.
To succeed in this role you should be a top-quartile developer with an outgoing personality and a desire to help our clients meet their business objectives. You must also have worked in a disciplined development where standards are the norm and where delivering on time and on budget is expected.
