Ingredients for Punjabi Kofta Pulav recipe


Basmathi rice-1cup heaped
Whole black gram- 3/4 cup
Bengal gram flour- 4 table spoons
Potatoes - 2 big
Bay leaf - 1
Mint leaves - 1/2 small bunch
Garlic - 3 Flakes
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Green chillies - Few
Fresh curds - 2 Table spoons
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Butter- 1 1/4 Table spoons
Ghee or Oil - for frying
Chilli powder - 1/2 Tea spoon

How to make Punjabi Kofta Pulav?

Method:
 Soak gram for 5-6 hrs. Boil in plenty of water till it becomes soft.Drain water and grind dhal coarsely with mint, garlic,ginger, green chillies,salt and garam masala.Mix bengal gram flour and make small balls.Deep fry in hot oil till brown.
 Soak rice for 10-15 mts.peel and grate potatoes. Deep fry and keep aside. Heat oil and ghee.Add bay leaf,chilli powder and rice. Fry for 2 mts in low flame. Add two cups of boiling water. Cook till it becomes soft.Mix salt and fried koftas gently. While serving garnish with fried potatoes and cut coriander leaves.
